Student begin with learning about the methods and materials of traditional and modern Japanese Joinery Techniques. From there they build there first project, which is a tradition almost this trade - and Japanese Style break-down saw-horse. This is the project on which they sharpen their skills (and their tools) before tackling the final project. This is a group project, with students from past semesters working in an advanced position.
